After almost a year of Covid 19 issues, we have tried to figure out how to do the Children’s Christmas Party this year. Dra. Digna Diaz strongly urged no gathering of children together with “older” people. Minsa says NO way but we wanted to put “some” Christmas together for the children of Boquete. ACCB has made arrangements for the school bus driver from Casa de Esperanza (House of Hope) to deliver the gift bags, complete with our homemade cookies to all of the children. Casa de Esperanza is very excited for us to do this. ACCB has arranged for delivery to all children in the Comarca’s on Saturday, December 19th and also to Jaramillo and Las Naranjo. We anticipate we will reach delivery to 300 – 400 kids, giving them something special for Christmas.
THIS is where you come in…..
we will need volunteers to bake (or buy) cookies to accommodate this many children. We think 2 dozen per person would be plenty. Please feel free to invite your friends to contribute. Its a good cause. If you can help, please email Edie Baxter , email@example.com or Linda Hart, firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
We will happily receive your cookie donations on Thursday, Dec 17th between 10 & 11:30 at the Boquete Country Club. Joe Hart & other members of ACCB will be in the parking lot just outside Boquete Country Club to receive your cookies for the children. We also need your assistance making the gift bags for the children in the BCC Clubhouse at 11:30. We will be putting all the cookies in baggies, and then adding them to gift bags with pencils, candy canes and small toys for the children.
Thank you for your continued generosity. Boquete expats are the best!
